Surface Roughness Comparators are widely used in Drafting Rooms, Inspection Departments and Engineering Workshops. They provide a realistic idea of the feel, appearance and texture of machined components
Sets are available with the individual plates marked in both MICROINCH (µ” AA) and the METRIC system (µm Ra) Manufactured from Solid Electro Formed Nickel
Conforms to ANSI-B-46-1978, ISO/R. 468 and US Military Standard 4566 accuracy within permitted tolerance of ±12% as per ANSI, ISO and Mil Specs
Invaluable for both visual and tactile inspection of component surface finish
It consists of 30 specimens which cover a comprehensive range of both the inch system AA microinches and the metric system Ra micrometers
The references plates are manufactured from electro formed solid nickel
Flat Lapping: 2, 4 and 8μ” AA
Reaming: 16, 32, 63μ” AA
Grinding: 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, & 63μ” AA
